"One of the biggest trends we see this year is a growing desire among new parents to choose a baby name with personal meaning. Family names are all the rage, and grandparents are the number one source of inspiration for new parents," says Linda Murray, BabyCenter's global editor in chief. "This year, more than half of moms say they found name inspiration in people they know. Celebrity influence is on the decline."

But that doesn't mean popular culture doesn't influence the handles we give our kids. Names from the popular show The Duck Dynasty are rising in popularity, including Korie, Mia, Phil, Sadie and Silas. Parents also seem to like names from the show Girls with Shoshana, Zosia, Marnie and Lena growing in popularity.

Prince George's birth had an interesting impact with George increasing in popularity for baby girls, as well as variations, including Georgina and Georgia.
